WebStream crews are in Texas, Kentucky and Indiana this week to produce live coverage of NCAA Winter Championships. Fans can view live streams online of the Division II Men’s Basketball Tournament in Highland Heights, Kentucky; the DII Women’s Basketball Tournament in San Antonio, Texas and DIII Swimming and Diving from Indianapolis, Indiana. Turner Sports and the NCAA have announced that fans can enjoy the 2012 NCAA winter championships — with more than 340 hours of live video streaming coverage from more than 135 events — on NCAA.com. The live coverage begins March 7 with the National Collegiate Skiing Championship in Bozeman, Mont., and continues through April 21. WebStream will contribute production to some 19 championships. “We are proud to play a small part in the in-depth coverage provided by the NCAA and Turner Sports,” says CEO John Servizzi.
WebStream Nominated for Mira Award
WebStream has been nominated for a 2012 Mira Award in the New Media Excellence & Innovation category. WebStream will compete with 15 other companies for an award to be handed out Saturday, May 12 at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis. The TechPoint Mira Awards recognize excellence and innovation through the achievement of Indiana’s outstanding technology industry performers and contributors, and focuses attention on the broader issue of the important role technology plays in Indiana’s economy.
WebStream to Produce NCAA Selection Shows
WebStream Productions will produce 12 Selection Shows for the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Winter sports season. Shows will focus on which teams make the field as well as key matchups and will be streamed on NCAA.com. WebStream will produce each show out of its state-of-the-art studio in Indianapolis.
